At Evangel, we believe that missions, both local and abroad, are very important. The local ministries we partner with specialize in meeting needs in a variety of areas that we as a church could not address well on our own. They also represent a broader cross-section of Evangelical churches in Wichita and we are glad for the opportunity to join together in ministry with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Here are a few of the ministres that we support:
McAdams Academy is a school in Wichita, KS. Their mission is to take youth who have been expelled, suspended, or are facing difficult family situations and provide them with an affordable (often free), safe, and structured learning environment that helps them develop academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
McAdams offers an accredited curriculum that allows students to receive high school credit or even a Kansas high school diploma. Their specialized staff and teachers are not only equipped to help the students handle behavioral issues; they care deeply about showing the love of Christ to each student.
Evangel comes alongside McAdams through financial support, hosting school events in our church, and regularly volunteering at McAdams to serve meals and pray for the student body.
