We’re glad you’re considering a visit! Below are a few things we think will help you know what to expect. Our goal is that every person who enters our doors experiences God’s grace. We want to be known for our warm welcome because of the grace God has shown us in Christ. We’re also committed to faithfully teaching truth from the Bible. We joyfully affirm the sufficiency of Scripture – God’s Word is both practical and powerful, providing us with all that we need to live for Him. We pray that when you visit you’ll be encouraged, challenged to love God more deeply, and find a place where you belong.
What Can I Expect?
Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re early, you’ll find lots of people chatting and visiting. Feel free to grab a snack or coffee in the foyer! As you enter the sanctuary, you’ll be greeted by a volunteer handing out bulletins. Our bulletin is designed to clearly guide you through the worship service, so don’t worry if haven’t been to a church like ours before!
After the announcements, our service begins with a “call to worship.” Following this, the basic elements of our worship are singing, praying, reading Scripture, and hearing a sermon that expounds on God’s Word. We typically preach verse-by-verse through books of the Bible and sing rich Biblical hymns from both the past and present. We end with a hymn and a blessing (or “benediction”).
Services typically last a little over an hour. We celebrate communion about once a month.
If you’re arriving for Gather (our time of fellowship and snacks at 10:10am) or the worship service (10:45am), you’ll want to head toward the Sanctuary Building located on the north side of campus, away from the highway. Walk through the front door and into the foyer where you’ll find coffee, snacks, and restrooms. The sanctuary is directly ahead of you with the nursery on the right. If you have any questions, feel free to ask anyone you meet. We’re a small enough church that they’ll either know the answer or know who to point you to!
If you are joining us for Sunday School (9:10am), walk over to the Fellowship Hall Building (on the south side, closest to the highway). Once there, we will help direct you to class. Visiting families are welcome to stay together if that is most comfortable for you.
Children are an important part of our church family, and we love having them with us! We encourage families to worship together and are glad to have the sounds and wiggles that sometimes come with little ones.
For families who would find it helpful, we also offer a nursery for children three and under during both Sunday School and worship. Our nursery is staffed by two adult volunteers who play with the children, read Bible stories, lead them in songs, and provide a small snack.
Sunday School classes are available for children ages three and older. On Sunday afternoons, we offer Kid’s Quest, Youth Group, and various groups for adults depending on the season.
We also have a Special Needs Access Room for anyone who may benefit from a quieter, more private space while still being able to see and hear the worship service.
Our church includes people from a variety of backgrounds, and you’ll see a range of dress—from casual to suit and tie. Whatever you wear, we hope you’ll simply come with the joy and reverence of gathering to worship the Lord in mind.
The main thing you need to bring is yourself (and your family)! If you own a Bible, bring that too. If not, we have Bibles in each pew, and we’d be glad to give you one as a gift to take home. Some folks also bring a journal or notebook to take notes during the sermon.
